David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust takes care of the young elephants until they are old enough to be released into the wild.

It also has three reintegration units located in the Greater Tsavo Conservation Area, Ithumba, and Umani Springs in the Kibwezi Forest.

David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Rates / Charges / Entry Fees

The Entrance to the orphanage for the visiting hour requires a minimum contribution of $15 US dollars / 1500 Kenya shillings per person who are aged 12 and above, and Kshs 500 / US$5 for those under 12 years of age. This is collected upon entry, in Cash, or via Mpesa, on the day of your visit.
